Gearing Up To Commit Serious Novel.

I'm gearing up for another attempt. Not that I have not written novels before (I have); but I think I have finally found the beginning, a least, of this story arc.

Things that need explanation have found their points of origination.

Note that I did not say "story", as it is not the full story; but it is the arc in which an evil arises, and the serial protagonist's battle against it, in what I like referring to as a "family feud" (with apology to Richard Dawson, of course; but it fits the story arc best).

Yes, Richard Dawson. I never watched the reboot. I'm not hiding my age either. I was born in 1958. I've had a couple of short stories that appeared in "for the love" markets which are long defunct. I have struggled with this story arc fro a couple of decades, and it first reared its draconic head in 1993, when a particular short story, the catalyst for my literary infant, appeared in one of these long-defunct markets.

Not, you understand, that I am writing literary. Cthulhu forbid! And by the way, keep an eye out for Call Girl of Cthulhu. Hey, it sounds funny. ;)

Scheduled for 2013:
March 31 – The last day (13 Ahau) of the last Tzolk'in calendar to begin before the end of the current creation's 13th b'ak'tun. Some believe that this date is more significant than that of December 21, 2012 (4 Ahau) because both calendar cycles will be complete. (from Wikipedia.)
